SUMMARY: Enjoy a stroll through the historic center of the city, visiting the Plaza de Armas and the significant buildings adjacent to the square. Also, visit the Central Market, the bohemian Barrio Bellavista district, the top of San Cristóbal Hill, the modern residential areas of the city, and a shop for lapis lazuli.

ITINERARY: Depart from your hotel and drive to the historical center of the city to see the Presidential Palace La Moneda and Constitution Square. Also see the former National Congress and the Justice Tribunal buildings on route to the impressive Plaza de Armas (Main Square). Here, we find the Municipal Cathedral, Governor’s Palace, former Main Post Office and National Historic Museum.
Our Santiago city tour continues with a visit to the Central Market. Then we cross the Mapocho River to reach the bohemian Barrio Bellavista district around San Cristóbal Hill. We visit the top of this emblematic hill in the heart of Santiago city and enjoy the views of the city and the surrounding Andes Mountains.
Afterwards, a short stop will be made for those wishing to buy lapis lazuli, a semi-precious blue stone found only in Chile and Afghanistan. To round out the tour, we pass through the modern residential areas of the city with their daring architecture. Our tour ends at the hotel.
