ITINERARY: This famous vineyard of Chile is located in the Maipo Valley to the south of Santiago. Our guided tour is a trip around the history of Chile and its wine.
We begin with a tour through the vineyards and the winery and finish with the wine bottling process. We visit the historic Bodega 1 made of ‘Cal y Canto’ (a mixture of lime, sand and egg whites) and also the famous ‘Bodega de los 120 Patriotas’, now a national treasure. The tour finishes with an amazing wine tasting moment of their aged wines.
The vineyard is located in the foothills of the Andes, which causes a high thermal variation of 20ºC between day and night. It has a Mediterranean climate with hot dry summers, dry falls, moderate winters and springs free of frost. Chile clearly is recognized for its wines, and without doubt, one of its best representatives is Santa Rita.
If you wish to continue enjoying its exquisite wines, you have the opportunity to visit their attractive wine shop, or lunch in the historical Doña Paula Restaurant or just take a cake from the Chilean bakery Café La Panaderia.
Our tour ends at your hotel or other pre-arranged destination.
