The famous travel magazine “Condé Nast Traveler” España version held the award ceremony on May 2015. The objective of the ceremony that took place on Madrid last Thursday, May 7th, was clear: to choose the best of the best of the travel world in different categories, including cities, hotels, spas, and destinations. The Chilean Patagonia was the big winner of the last category.
Patagonia stands out for its singular geography, in which millenary glaciers are found; for the Cape Horn, whose waters pose some of the toughest challenges for navigation; and also for the 8th wonder of the world, the Torres del Paine, which attracts a great amount of tourists each year.
Condé Nast Traveler has been present in tourism industry for more than 20 years, searching for and recommending top notch destinations for its readers. During the ceremony, in which Chile was awarded, together with Rome, Barcelona, and New York’s hotels and spas, the magazine director, Sandra del Río, said that “The travel path is the path to happiness.”
