One of the great hidden treasures of Chile is in the Biobío Region. As you enter the Andes mountain range about 10km from the road that connects Los Angeles with the Alto Biobío sector, you will find one of the most impressive granite formations in the country, the Tricauco mountain range, andean branch of rugged mountains. that shelter the beautiful Pirquinco lagoon at your feet.

To access it you must go through beautiful native forests of coigües, lengas, oaks and ñirres. From the lagoon you can continue climbing to a natural viewpoint to the Southeast, to know the landscapes that surround this area, such as the valleys that open nearby and from which it is possible to get privileged views of the Copahue and Callaqui volcanoes.

The sector is also the starting point for a day trip to the Los Patos lagoon, where panoramic views are obtained from the foothills to the coastal plains. On the route you can find the beautiful national flower of Chile, the copihue, as well as, and with a bit of luck, observe the majestic flight of the Andean guardian, the condor.
