ITINERARY: Pick you up from your Hotel. We will navigate along the shore of Lake Llanquihue, a tour that starts near the city of Puerto Varas and goes north to the city of Llanquihue. Lake Llanquihue is Chile’s second-largest lake (880 square kilometers of surface/2,175 Acres of surfaces), located in the southern Lakes Region and surrounded by the cities of Puerto Varas, Frutillar, and Puerto Octay. The Llanquihue Lake is one of the biggest hydrographical resources in the country, right after the General Carrera Lake. The lake is known for its intense blue waters, reflective surface showing the Osorno volcano, Calbuco, Tronador, Puntiagudo, Casablanca, and diverse flora and fauna.

We will also appreciate the architecture of Llanquihue, its colonial and industrial history. Also, we will see part of the Salmon Industry, which has been developing in some of the areas of this lake. This natural spot is accessible only by canoe or kayaks and will lead us to the hidden places of this great lake. Afterwards, we will descend by kayak the only outlet of Lake Llanquihue to the sea, paddling the Maullín River, a flat and calm river to enjoy and contemplate nature. From the source of this river, approximately 16 km/10 miles of route in one of the eight most biodiverse places in the world, where flora and fauna gather, creating a spectacle of life. You will be able to see the Ringed Kingfisher, Neotropic Cormorant, Great Heron, Picuro, Pimpollo, Cuca Heron, and various species of Ducks (including the Mallard Duck (Anas sibilatrix), Large Jergon (Anas georgica), and Small Jergon (Anas flavirostris) and Hummingbirds. You might also spot the Seven-colored Tanager and potentially larger birds like Coscoroba Swans, Black-necked Swans, and Chilean Flamingos, but this one bird is seasonal and you can see it close to the end of this large river (sea mouth). You will be able to see the funny Huillín(river Otter), the freshwater otter from Patagonia. At the end of our paddle, we will return to the starting point by private transport, where we can hydrate, change clothes, and return to the hotel. End our services for that day.
