ITINERARY:
Day 1: Santiago to Calama and San Pedro. Atacama — Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon) Excursion (6 hours)
Activity Level: 1 (Easy)
Pick up from your Hotel and drive to the Airport in Santiago. After the flight, meet your Guide in Calama airport and drive to San Pedro de Atacama (100 Km.) Check in at your Hotel. Pick up from your San Pedro hotel to start the tour to Calama and San Pedro. Atacama — Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon). After tours come back to your Hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. Dinner at your expense. Overnight: San Pedro Atacama. Meals: Snack. Activity Level: Easy / Total Transfer Drive: 100 Km (62 Miles) / Total Tour Drive: 60 Km(37 Miles) / Altitude: 2,450 MASL (8,038 feet).
Day 2: Atacama Salt Flat Lake, Altiplanic Lagoons and Toconao Village Excursion (10 hours)
Activity Level: 3 (Moderate)
Pick up from your hotel in the morning to start the tours to Atacama Salt Flat Lake, Altiplanic Lagoons and Toconao Village. After the tour, return to the town of San Pedro and your hotel. Dinner at your expense. Overnight: San Pedro Atacama. Meals: Snack. Activity Level: Easy + – Moderate/ Total Tour Drive: 240 Km(150 Miles) / Altitude: 4,250 MASL (13,780 feet).
Day 3: Hike Guatin Canyon — Puritama Hot Spring — Atacama Desert (6-7 hours)
Pick up from your hotel in the morning to start the tours to Hike Guatin Canyon — Puritama Hot Spring — Atacama Desert. After the hiking tour, return to the town of San Pedro and your hotel. Dinner at your expense. Overnight: San Pedro Atacama. Meals: B-BL. Activity Level: Moderate/ Total Tour Drive: 30 Km(19 Miles) / Altitude: 2,900 MASL (9,580 feet).
Day 4: Tatio Geysers, Machuca Village & Stargazing Tour Atacama Desert (10 hours)
Activity Level: 3 (Moderate – Easy)
Today, we start at 05:30 a.m. from your hotel at San Pedro de Atacama to take the Tatio Geysers, Machuca Village Tour. Return to your hotel in San Pedro, lunch at our own and leisure time. At evening departing from San Pedro de Atacama, we visit the area of the observatory and learn from an astronomer-guide how to read the sky. Then hop from telescope to telescope and stare in wonder at stars, clouds of dust and gas, and planets otherwise invisible to the naked eye. Say hello to Saturn’s rings, moon craters, star clusters, galaxies, and other wonders of the universe. You’ll leave wanting to become an astronomer yourself! Share your experiences above the clear sky while we return to San Pedro de Atacama.
Note: It is essential that you wear layered clothing to fully enjoy and participate in this excursion, polar jacket or windbreaker. (Cold nights are possible in our excursion in the desert). Dinner at your expense. Overnight: San Pedro Atacama. Meals: B-BL. Activity Level: Moderate/ Total Tour Drive: 160 Km (99 Miles) / Altitude: 4,450 MASL (14,600 feet).
Day 4: San Pedro Atacama – Santiago ( 3 hours)
Breakfast. Check out from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama and pick up from your Hotel and transfer to Calama Airport. Flight to Santiago. Transfer to your hotel. End of the Adventure Program in Atacama, Chile. Meals: B.
