Cancellation and Change Policy

 

Cancellation Policy

For 1 or 2 excursions or tours only:

  • 2 days or 48 hours prior: 100% refund of the money.
  • 1 day or 24 hours prior: 50% refund of the money.
  • Cancellation on the day of the tour: 0% refund of the money.
  • No show or late arrival may also result in loss of your booking payment.
  • Cancellations must be received by e-mail.

For multi day program:

  • Up to 25 days prior to start of program: 100% refund of the money minus any non-refundable amounts, subject to notes below.
  • 24 to 15 days prior to start of program:  50% refund of the money.
  • Less than 15 days before start of program: 0% refund of the money.
  • No show or late arrival may result in changes in your program or loss of your booking payment. A refund will be dependent upon the circumstances.
  • Custom designed programs / bookings will incur a $30 per person non-refundable penalty for cancellations made any time after the booking has been confirmed.
  • Cancellations must be received by e-mail.

NOTE: Reservations made for holiday weekends or seasons such as Easter, Peak season, Christmas or New Year’s Eve will incur non-refundable amounts, regardless of amount of cancellation notice.

NOTE: Refunds for programs that include hotels, lodges or any type of accommodations will be governed by the refund policy of the contracted hotels.

Change Policy

Participants may make changes to their programs up to 25 days in advance of start date. Any refund due will be subject to all cancelation policies.

Patagonia SouthernLand Expeditions Chile (the Company) reserves the right to cancel and/or modify tour(s) if adverse weather conditions and/or acts of God put tour participants at risk. Participants may be offered another available excursion in the area or a change of tour date to replace tours canceled due to acts of God or climatic factors.

The Company will not be responsible/liable for acts of God, acts of war, or weather conditions or for events in foreign countries, which result in changes to the original program with the result of lost days, hotel booking and extra fees. Once an activity or excursion has started, no refunds will be made.

The Company will not be responsible/liable for failure of the passenger to disembark or failure of the ship to dock in the port by the decision of the cruise ship captain or our Marine Authority for the ports of Chile.

IMPORTANT!: We recommend you purchase trip insurance at the time of booking, to cover possible cancellation fees, lost luggage, medical expenses and other things that can occur during your stay in the country.
