SUMMARY:

The hike to Green Lagoon is a top activity. Visiting the Lago Toro Lookout is also highly recommended. It is located in Torres Del Paine National Park. This experience ranks among the best hikes in the area. It is also known as the Laguna Verde-Weber bridge. This park is in Patagonia, Chile. These hikes are spectacularly beautiful and not physically challenging. We’ll see an abundance of wildlife. We will drive alongside Lake Sarmiento, Green Lagoon, Honda Lagoon, Los Ciervos Lagoon, and Paine River. As we move away from the Paine Massif, we’ll get an incredible panoramic view.
This path leads through forests, rivers, bushes, and rocks. The journey offers one of the most sought-after views. The walk lasts approximately 8 – 10 hours total. It covers a distance of 14 Km/9 Miles one-way.
Starting from the old Estancia Ranch, you will hike around the Marvel Trail above sea level. Climb to the final lookout, “Lago Toro.” You will be richly rewarded by one of the most breathtaking views in Patagonia. From this viewpoint, you will see the Massif Paine and the great Andes Mountain Range with your friends or family.

DURATION: 8 – 10 hours. (9 Miles/ 14 Km) Hike. Elevation Gain: Around 308 meters (1,010 feet).
MIN./MAX. PEOPLE: 2 – 12 people (more can be arranged).
SEASON: Seasonal. From September until April, weather permitting.

ITINERARY:

Pickup from your Hotel in Puerto Natales, Villa Serrano, or Torres Del Paine areas (or as arranged). Recommended hour to start: 7:30 a.m. or before.

The Torres Del Paine National Park is declared the Eighth Wonder of the World. It is also a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The park is known as one of the most beautiful mountain ranges on the planet. This geological work of art formed around 12 million years ago. It is a magnet for trekking and climbing aficionados. This makes it the third most-visited park in Chile. This National park is also part of the Route of Parks of Patagonia.

Your local guide will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Natales or Torres Del Paine. You will then drive to the sector of “Laguna Verde” (Green Lagoon). This drive leads you to a photographic hiking adventure into the Torres Del Paine National Park. This will allow you to marvel at the beauty of its topography and its abundant flora and fauna. We will hike up through the valleys and canyons. You’ll see ducks, frogs, woodpeckers, and condors. You also spot other local species of fauna. We’ll then reach other lagoons with great vistas. You will have an amazing view of the “Baguales” mountain range and the “Contreras” mountains. Of course, you’ll also see the ever-imposing “Cuernos Del Paine”.


We will cross over towards the western section of the park. There, we will have our box lunch. We will enjoy looking at the great Patagonian Mountain range. After our meal, we will continue through the “Ciervos Lagoon”. We will reach the “Toro” lookout at 559 MASL. Here, you’ll have an incredible view of Lake Toro and the Paine River. You will also see Serrano Valley and Mount Balmaceda. The Geike and Tyndall glaciers are visible as well. Additionally, you can admire the southern Patagonian ice field. From this point, we will descend near the bridge “Weber” where our hiking ends. Then, we will drive to the Administration center and to your hotel. On this hike is one of the places where you will see the local Wildlife around. Also, you will have great views of the Massif Torres Del Paine and the Andes Mountain Range. GUEST PROVIDES: Guests need to bring appropriate clothes for the activity. The weather can be hot, cold, or windy. Trekking boots or tennis shoes are required. Optional items include walking sticks. Guests should also bring a backpack, camera, water, and cap or hat. Don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses.
